Non-public school enrollment

Non-public enrollments are self-reported by non-public schools and reporting is voluntary.

Data Notes

A non-public school must have a CDE assigned school code to participate in the collection.

Definitions

Non-public school

The term "non-public school" applies to private, parochial, and independent schools which provide education to children of compulsory school age. Neither the State Board of Education nor any local board of education has jurisdiction over the internal affairs of any non-state independent or parochial school in Colorado.

Q: When is this data collection?

A: The non-public enrollment count runs parallel to October Count data, typically opening a day after October Count and closing the first week of December. 

Q: When is data from this collection posted?

A: Non-public enrollment counts are released in conjunction with October Count data release. Typically, the middle of January.

Q. Can I update my enrollment counts if I'm reporting for a non-public school?

A. Enrollment data can be updated throughout the collection window but may not be updated after the collection has closed in the first week of December.
