Colorado Department of Education pledges $11 million to support educators across the state with classroom project materials
Colorado Education Commissioner Susana Córdova announced on Thursday that the Colorado Department of Education will allocate $11 million in federal COVID-19 relief funds to help pre-K to 12th grade public school educators with classroom resources to address COVID-19 learning loss.

News Release -- State Board of Education begins process for reviewing computer science standards, reviews budget requests
The State Board of Education kicked off the process for the statutorily required review of the Colorado Academic Standards with the review of the independent benchmarking reports for computer science, English language proficiency, physical education and world languages presented by CDE staff.

News Release - State assessment results show some improvements, challenges remain due to lost learning opportunities during the pandemic
Results from state assessments taken last spring show gradual improvements in many grades and subject areas over the previous year and a few even performed better than the pre-pandemic results; however, the scores also reveal continued deficits in many areas and for many student groups, according to today’s release by the Colorado Department of Education.

News Release -- Colorado Free and Reduced-Price Meals Policy for School Year 2023-24
Prior to every school year CDE is required to announce the policy that determines student eligibility for free and reduced-price school meals or free milk served at schools that participate in the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program or the Special Milk Program.

The Colorado Department of Education announced today that Colorado school districts will be able to use Medicaid enrollment data to certify students for free or reduced-price school meals through the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs.
