Through this engaging, interactive virtual mini-workshop, you will explore the key principles of climate literacy, as outlined in the 2024 Climate Literacy Guide, and other free climate resources and learn how to incorporate key concepts into your communications, programs, and instructional practices. This workshop is the perfect starting point to explore the latest national climate education frameworks while building curiosity and excitement for deeper professional learning opportunities.

This session is ideal for educators, communicators, and program developers who are new to climate literacy and interested in building their capacity to engage audiences effectively.

Facilitated by Sarah Johnson, Climate Change Education Specialist at Wild Rose Education. Sarah has developed and moderated CAEE’s Climate Literacy eeCourse, teaches climate education courses at Western Colorado University’s Teacher Institute, and is the Director of the Colorado Youth Climate Summit. 

This workshop and the updated new Climate Literacy eeCourse are made possible by the EPA and the Colorado STEM Ecosystem.
